While learning the Illustrator program, I took the opportunity to study different artistic styles. I tasked myself with creating several different art pieces with the same subject matter that appear as though they may have been created by entirely different artists. For this project, I chose to create my pieces based on the concept of "ice cream," whether it be a float, a sundae, or a cone. I purposefully used bold line art and kept the color scheme grayscale in order to focus more on shape, style, and composition. I utilized many different Illustrator tools, primarily the pen tool, the shape tool, and the pencil tool. These six pieces were intended to be seen together to further accentuate their many differences. I would consider the first float my instinctual style, yet each of these possesses a characteristic (or two) that I tend to feature in my artwork.
