These are two versions of book covers I created for the first book of the Abby Normal series by Samuel Thomas Fraser. These designs are based on a design brief Fraser provided via a freelance design website. As these designs were just for my personal practice, they were not sent to Fraser for the final consideration. In his brief, Fraser explained the plot of the book and asked for a design that featured illustration, references to the material, and a specific city skyline. The gray version (pictured second here) was the initial design, and the red version was the revised, final version. Also included is information about my own design process and a breakdown of what was present in the initial design.
