Given a small set of stock photos, I was tasked with creating two magazine covers as quickly as possible. This was a timed exercise, and the finished designs were due, printed and all, within 3 hours. I picked the two photos that I liked best and brought them into Adobe Photoshop. Once edited, I brought the photos into Adobe InDesign to deal with the layout and typography. Content was completely up to our discretion and had no theme or tone requirements. Naturally, I chose sarcasm and space.
